Privacy Policy

We process the information you choose to enter in Ayla, such as meal photos, food logs, calorie and nutrient entries, nutrition goals, and profile details. If you provide information such as weight or other wellness details, we use it to support the tracking features you choose. We also receive information you send when contacting support.

When you sign in with Apple, we receive an app-specific identifier and, when you authorize it, your name and email address. If you choose Hide My Email, Apple provides a relay address. We do not receive your Apple Account password. You can manage this connection in your Apple Account settings. Learn more about Sign in with Apple and privacy.

When you submit a meal photo for analysis, we process the image and associated request information to estimate the food and its nutrition. Service providers that support image analysis, storage, or app infrastructure may process this information on our behalf to deliver these features. Only submit photos you are comfortable sharing for analysis, and avoid including other people or unnecessary personal information.

We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how Ayla is used and improve the experience. Analytics may include app screens visited, feature interactions, event times, app version, operating system, device information, and app-generated user or device identifiers. These identifiers may allow events to be associated with an account or device. Network information, such as an IP address, may be processed when events are sent. We use these events to understand feature usage and app performance. Where consent is required, analytics collection is subject to that consent. Apple handles in-app purchases and subscription payments. We may receive transaction identifiers, receipts, subscription status, product details, and purchase or renewal dates so we can provide paid features and support purchases. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

We use information to provide and personalize meal tracking, generate nutrition estimates, maintain your account, verify subscriptions, answer support requests, understand product usage, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, consent, legal obligations, or legitimate interests in operating and improving Ayla. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it; this does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Information may be shared with providers supporting authentication, analytics, image processing, hosting, storage, customer support, and payments as needed for those services. We may also disclose information where legally required, to protect rights and safety, with your direction, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. Providers may process information in countries other than where you live; applicable transfer requirements and safeguards must be respected.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the features you use, maintain required records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the information and its purpose. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Where deletion is requested, information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained when law requires it.

You can manage camera and photo permissions through your device settings and manage Sign in with Apple through your Apple Account. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of your information, withdraw consent, or complain to a data protection authority. To request account or data deletion, or exercise another right, email contact@martillacleaning.com. We may ask for information needed to verify the request. Deleting the app or your account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription; manage your subscription with Apple.

Ayla is not intended for children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
